Ship 3500, “Rock of Ages”, what we do…
If you are ready to get outside and have some real fun, then “Rock of Ages” is for you. The main goal of all our activities on (sailing, white water rafting), in (SUP’ing, kayaking, snorkeling), and under (Scuba) the water, is to have fun through new experiences. The cool part about these experiences is that you will be learning new life skills and problem solving abilities while doing them. You will push yourselves, set new limits, and feel your confidence grow every week.
As a Scout in Ship 3500, you decide, as a group, our agenda and goals. Together, we will work to achieve them.

Chart a course and manage all the variables to accomplish it.Wind direction, charts, compass heading, you will learn it all.
Safety at Sea
Safety is always the primary concern at sea.Fire, man-overboard, offering First-Aid to others, this is the critical aspect of all maritime activities.

Focus on education, both during and after the Sea Scouts
A common goal of all Adult Leaders of Ship 3500 is the advancement of our Scouts. Regarding education, we believe that if we are to teach you new skills, preparing you to take the next steps both education-wise and into adulthood, then we should do all we can to help you achieve this step.
Mr. Riddell, your Ship’s Committee Chair, has spent the last eight years working with students, helping them choose colleges and securing scholarships. Through College Prep Coach, he coaches his students to realize their individual path, then helps them achieve it. Mr. Riddell is bringing his program to Ship 3500 and will be helping any and all Scouts who would like, choose the next step.
As far as we know, we are the only Ship in the country, maybe the world, with their own college placement program, and we are very proud of this.

Having spent lots of time on the water with my dad, sailing and water skiing, I am excited to learn and advance through the Sea Scouts ranks.
