By Serving The Ship, You Are Serving The Youth…
Watersports are inherently expensive, but the learning they provide for the cost is invaluable. In order to operate our programs correctly and safely, the Ship needs funding. Considering the needs of individuals, companies, and corporations, we have designed our funding opportunities to align with the level, and possibly expense classification, of your support. Be it a straight donation, a marketing, or education expense, we can shape the funding opportunities to match your needs.
Your participation in Ship 3500 only begins with your support. Unlike other non-profit, 501 (c) (3) options, where funds are bundled into a general fund, Ship 3500 offers the ability to direct funding and tries to make it very “tangible” for you, as we invite everyone to come see and touch the end results. We encourage all of our supporters to stay involved with our Scouts. Come to the lake, see the Scouts in action, climb aboard and have the Scouts take you for a sail in one of the vessels your generosity helped to acquire and maintain. Remember, the main focus of Sea Scouting is to prepare these Scouts for life; your generosity helps us run the programs, but it will be adult interest and participation which pushes them forward.
How to Support?
All sports are expensive, but watersports seem to be among the most. Donations help with safety equipment, proper clothing (both on land and sea), certified instruction, and all supporting materials. It is our goal to provide all of this to every Scout, as no Scout will be unprepared.
On an annual or multi-year basis, sponsor an individual racing sailboat, the Race Committee boat, a regatta, or series of events (stand-up-paddle boarding instruction, diving certifications, our annual long cruise), and we will brand that asset or event with your brand. With your name on the side of a vessel, on the sails, or as the title sponsor of an event, these funds may fall into marketing, education, or donation dollars, so as to best fit with your needs,
A multi-year commitment to an entire fleet, your patronage allows us to plan many years out and design instructional, racing, and travel opportunities. Patronage allows for the development of a racing fleet on our home waters as well as an annual trip to Long Beach to race similar boats in much larger fleets. It can also provide for diving certifications locally followed by a semi-annual trip to the Caribbean to experience a totally different world, first hand. As it has been for centuries, patronage allows projects and programs to reach for the stars, which is exactly what we will be teaching the Scouts to do.
An Entire Fleet…
The opportunities to extend your brand and show your support are endless.
An Individual Vessel…
How you display your brand and show your support to the Scouts and your community is up to you.
Our Annual Long Cruise…
Some years will be sailing, others will be on a motor-yacht, while others may be diving or cruising the Caribbean.
Safety Equipment – Safety at Sea
Each an every time our Scouts leave the dock, they will have the correct safety equipment and will know how to use it.
